The new UN Food Systems Coordination Hub connects coalitions towards common goals

The Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH) was born from the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) alongside several other thematic coalitions, now connected through one Global Hub.

The UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, led by Stefanos Fotiou, was created to provide support for countries in transforming food systems toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Hub is coordinating dialogue and connecting countries with coalitions of action that can best support their actions and food systems pathways.

CA4SH is excited to have joined the Compendium of Food Systems Coalitions forming the Hub as we work diligently to address critical implementation, monitoring, policy, and public and private investment barriers to scaling soil health, and the practices that make it happen.

About 95% of our food is directly or indirectly produced from soils, and soil health is at the heart of food systems transformation. Soil action plans have been put in place in Australia and the European Union but the pathways to their implementation in every context are different. The Hub links science, coalitions and other initiatives to the resources and support they need to meet their food systems transformation goals.

Stay tuned for the upcoming Stocktaking Moment as the Hub builds from its beta version into the invaluable resource it’s destined to become.
